Not much got done in 2009 and 2010. The engine is ready to go and I turned it over about once a month. I installed the brake lines and the exhaust pipes. I installed the lower valence which took some time because it didn't fit exactly like the original. Since the original lower valence fit well I believe the tolerances were off on the replacement.

I installed a new starter with a reduction gear and it really turns the engine over fast. Now I'm able to check the compression on this rebuilt engine. Basically 155lbs per cylinder. This would get better later on.

I removed the last of the original paint on the bonnet and the wings. Now the car is painted with Eastwood's rust inhibitor.

I have tested their paint on some bare metal that has been left outside in the rain and sun for about 2 years. It held up very well.

I did a lot of little items in 2009. I finished lots of little projects that had started but never got completed.
I had a bunch of other projects that had to get done so the Jag suffered from inattention.

I did install the windshield to see how it would look but finally removed it and put it back in its' safe place under the workbench.

The bonnet was removed and sandblasted to remove paint on the underside. The sandblasting created a couple of pinholes that needed fixing.
2010 was a tough year for working on the Jag. I spent virtually the whole year working on other projects around the house. The only thing I did regularly was to turn the engine. I did buy some resonators on eBay and installed them.
