2004 not much got accomplished. A lot of things happening with my business and other projects getting in the way. Basically I did a lot of little things that didn't get photos or even entries in my work log. I worked on the door mechanisms and fitted the headlight glass into the bonnet and cleaned up some parts.

2005 was a really bad year for working on the Jag. I only logged 11 hours for the whole year. I spent most of my free time working on a vacation house that I bought. Not much of a vacation though.

I did some sand blasting on the frame and I took some photos. The car is starting to look good.

After I took the above photos I did not work on the car for a full year but it was always sitting in the garage taking up space so eventually it was hard to ignore. I started working on everything after a thorough cleanup of the garage and everything that was gathering dust. 2006 did see some progress.

2006 I cleaned up a lot of parts. The steering column was repacked with new felt and painted, The heater was disassembled, cleaned up, tested and ready to be rebuilt. The power brake system was cleaned up and tested OK. The master cylinders were pitted so I sent them out to White Post to have them re-sleeved.

Many items were cleaned up and looked new by the time I was finished with them. A lot of components had rubber pieces as part of their assemblies. I should have replaced all rubber pieces when I was cleaning up the part because I had to replace a number of rubber parts once I got the car running.

I was very pleased with the dashboard cleanup along with a couple of dozen other small things that needed cleaning and polishing.

The wood on the steering wheel was starting to separate so I used a marine epoxy to glue it back together and then varnished it. It came out well and still solid. The second wheel I bought on Ebay for $35.00 and restored it using the same process.
